About two days afterwards, said barbarian took out 2 Bronze Warders at the same time(taken from H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth) dying 9 times in the process. This worked quite well in the Duergar area of H2, for example. It can be played as a standalone adventure or as the second part of a three-part series. While adventure paths are awesome and they saved D&D for me and my group in 3E, they also demand that X amount of experience points be distributed each adventure in order to get the players to level Y, where the next . I had just finished D&D 4th edition's H1 Keep on the Shadowfell and had moved straight into H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth. Many times in D&D, I have tried (or read an adventure that tried) to create a scenario with the dungeoneers trapped in some sort of maze which they must find their way out of. H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth is a D&D adventure designed for heroic-tier characters of levels 4–6. For the core Dungeons & Dragons Fourth Edition campaign as described in Fourth Edition Dungeon Master's Guide and continued in H1, Keep on the Shadowfell, H2, Thunderspire Labyrinth, and H3, Pyramid of Shadows. Skill challenge in the smithy actually made sense to me (I'm not a huge fan of skill challenges in general) and for that encounter I used part of the Horned Hold from H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth to represent the smithy itself. This post is the introduction to a series that looks at Thunderspire Labyrinth, the second Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition published adventure.
